✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the morning of ʿAqabah, while he was standing on his mount, “Bring me some pebbles.” So I picked up pebbles for him, which were pebbles for khudhaf. When I placed them in his hand, he said, “Yes, with the likes of these, with the likes of these. Beware of extremism in religion, for those before you were destroyed only by extremism in religion.”
