✧ The Sa'i between Safa and Marwa

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ

اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ أَنْ يَرْمِيَهُ أَحَدٌ أَوْ يُصِيبُهُ بِشَيْءٍ قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَدْعُو عَلَى الْأَحْزَابِ يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمُ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ اهْزِمِ الْأَحْزَابَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ»

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ‘Umrah and did Tawaf of the House, then went out and did Sa‘i between al-Safa and al-Marwa, while we were shielding him from the people of Makkah lest anyone shoot him or strike him with something.” He said: “I heard him supplicating against the confederates, saying: ‘O Allah, defeat them and shake them, O Sender down of the Book, Swift in reckoning; defeat the confederates. O Allah, defeat them.’”
