أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُجَيْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ثُمَّ الرَّبْعِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ لَنَا غَنَمٌ وَغِلْمَانٌ وَهُمْ يُخَبِّطُونَ عَلَى غَنَمِهِمْ هَذِهِ الثَّمَرَةَ الْحُبْلَةَ وَهِيَ ثَمَرَةُ السَّمُرِ؟ فَقَالَ جَابِرُ لَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا يُخْبَطُ وَلَا يُعْضَدُ مُحْرِمُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَكِنْ هُشُّوا هَشًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيَنْهانَا أَنْ نَقْطَعَ الْمَسَدَ وَمِرْوَدَ الْبَكَرَةِ

✧ He asked Jabir b. 'Abd Allah: “We have sheep and boys, and they beat down for their sheep this fruit, the hablah, which is the fruit of the samur tree.” Jabir said: “No.” Then he said: “Neither should it be beaten down nor cut within the sacred precinct of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but shake it gently.” Then he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid us to cut the masad or the pulley-rod of the she-camel’s saddle.”
