✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon and said, "O people, Allah has made Hajj obligatory upon you." A man stood up and said, "Every year, O Messenger of Allah?" He remained silent until the man repeated it three times, then he said, "If I said yes, it would become obligatory, and if it became obligatory, you would not be able to fulfill it. Leave me with what I have left you, for those before you were destroyed only by their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. So when I forbid you from something, avoid it, and when I command you to do something, do as much of it as you can." And he mentioned that this verse in al-Ma'idah was revealed concerning that: {O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you}.
