أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
«لَا تُوَاصِلُوا» قَالُوا فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِي»

✧ Do not practice continuous fasting. They said: But you practice continuous fasting, O Messenger of Allah. He said: I am not like any of you; my Lord feeds me and gives me drink.
