✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the expedition of Tabūk, which was called the Campaign of Hardship. While we were traveling after the forenoon had passed, he came upon a group under the shade of a tree. They said, “O Messenger of Allah, a man is fasting, and the fast has exhausted him.” He ﷺ said, “It is not righteousness to fast while traveling.”
