✧ I heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever is overtaken by morning while junub, there is no fast for him.' So I and my father went and entered upon Umm Salamah and Aishah, the two wives of the Prophet ﷺ, and asked them. They informed us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up junub without having had a wet dream, then he would fast. Then we entered upon Marwan b. al-Hakam and informed him of their statement and of the statement of Abu Hurayrah. Marwan said: 'I adjure you both to go to Abu Hurayrah and inform him.' So we met Abu Hurayrah while he was at the door of the mosque and said to him: 'The amir has adjured us concerning a matter we will mention to you.' He said: 'And what is it?' My father narrated it to him, and Abu Hurayrah's face changed color, and he said: 'Thus.'
