أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَأَخَذَ عُودًا فَجَعَلَ يَنْكُتُ بِهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ فقَالَ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ كُتِبَ مَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ» فقَال رَجُلٌ أَلَا نَتَّكِلُ؟ فقَالَ «اعْمَلُوا فَكُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى}

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was at a funeral, and he took a stick and started making marks on the ground with it. He said: “There is none among you but has his seat written for him in the Fire and his seat in Paradise.” A man said: Should we not then rely (on that)? He said: “Act, for everyone is facilitated.” Then he recited: {As for him who gives and fears (Allah), and believes in the best (reward), We will make smooth for him the path of ease. But as for him who is miserly and considers himself self-sufficient, and denies the best (reward), We will make smooth for him the path of hardship} (Qur'an 92:5–10).
