Sahih Ibn Hibban 3187

✧ A Lesson in the Martyr

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«مَنْ تَعُدُّونَ الشُّهَدَاءَ فِيكُمْ؟ » قَالُوا مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ ﷺ «وَمَنْ مَاتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ مَاتَ فِي طَاعُونٍ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ»
