✧ "The wife of 'Uthman b. Maz'un came to the wives of the Prophet ﷺ and they saw her in a bad state. They said: 'What is with you? There is no man in Quraysh richer than your husband.' She said: 'We have nothing from him. As for his day, he is fasting, and as for his night, he is standing in prayer.' He said: 'Then the Prophet ﷺ entered and they mentioned that to him. So the Prophet ﷺ met him and said: "O 'Uthman, do I not have an example for you?" He said: "And what is that, O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be your ransom?" He said: "As for you, you stand the night and fast the day, but your family has a right over you and your body has a right over you. Pray and sleep, fast and break your fast." He said: 'Then the woman came to them after that perfumed as if she were a bride, and they said to her: 'How [is it now]?' She said: 'We have been affected as the people have been affected.'"
