✧ When the news of the death of Ja'far b. Abi Talib, Zayd b. Harithah, and 'Abd Allah b. Rawahah came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and sadness was recognizable on his face. 'A'ishah said: 'And I was peeking from the crack of the door.' A man came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the women of Ja'far's family have been weeping excessively.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered him to forbid them. 'A'ishah said: 'So the man went, then came back and said: I forbade them, but they did not obey me.' This happened until the third time. She claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Throw dust into their mouths.' 'A'ishah said: 'So I said: May Allah rub your nose in the dust! You are not going to do what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned.'
