✧ A Chapter on the condition of the deceased in their grave

فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ مَا تَحَدِّثُونَ
عَنْ كَذَّابِينَ وَلَا مُكَذَّبَيْنِ وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْقُرْآنِ مَا يَكْفِيَكُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ {وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى} وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَزِيدُ الْكَافِرَ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- And al-Lah Mā Taḥaddithūn
✧ On the authority of liars or deniers, and you have in the Qurʾān what suffices you from that: {And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another} (35:18). But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah increases the disbeliever [in punishment] by the weeping of his family over him."
