Show the chain

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationIbn Abī Ḥātim said: I asked my father about the hadith of Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. He said: The memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) do not mention Abū Hurayrah; they only say "Abū Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ" as a mursal report. None connects it by mentioning Abū Hurayrah except one who is not precise (ghayr mutqin), and the sound view is that it is mursal.
