أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ صَخْرٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعْثًا فَأَعْظَمُوا الْغَنِيمَةَ وَأَسْرَعُوا الْكَرَّةَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا بَعْثَ قَوْمٍ أَسْرَعَ كَرَّةً وَلَا أَعْظَمَ غَنِيمَةً مِنْ هَذَا الْبَعْثِ فَقَالَ ﷺ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَسْرَعَ كَرَّةً وَأَعْظَمَ غَنِيمَةً مِنْ هَذَا الْبَعْثِ؟ رَجُلٌ تَوَضَّأَ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ تَحَمَّلَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ الْغَدَاةَ ثُمَّ عَقَّبَ بِصَلَاةِ الضُّحَى فَقَدْ أَسْرَعَ الْكَرَّةَ وَأَعْظَمَ الْغَنِيمَةَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched a military expedition, and they deemed the spoils to be great and were swift in their return. A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have not seen an expedition of people swifter in return nor greater in spoils than this expedition." He ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you of one swifter in return and greater in spoils than this expedition? A man who performs wudu' in his house and perfects his wudu', then carries himself to the mosque and prays the dawn prayer in it, then follows it with the Duha prayer. He has indeed been swift in return and great in spoils."
