أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
«كَانَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا أَذَّنَ قَامَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَبْتَدِرُونَ السَّوَارِيَ يُصَلُّونَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ يُصَلُّونَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ شَيْءٌ»

✧ "When the mu'adhdhin called the adhan, some people from among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would get up and hasten to the pillars to pray, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them while they were thus praying the two rak'ahs before Maghrib, and there was nothing between the adhan and the iqamah."
