✧ The obligation of Imam's observance

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ وكاملُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ كَذُوبٍ قَالَ

«كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمْ نَزَلْ قِيَامًا حَتَّى نَرَاهُ قَدْ سَجَدَ ثُمَّ نَسْجُدُ»

✧ When we prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we did not cease standing until we saw him prostrate; then we would prostrate.
