✧ The obligation of Imam's observance

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ مُلَيْكَةَ دَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِطَعَامٍ صَنَعَتْهُ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «قُومُوا فَلِأُصَلِّيَ لَكُمْ» قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَقُمْتُ إِلَى حَصِيرٍ لِي قَدِ اسْوَدَّ مِنْ طُولِ مَا لُبِسَ فَنَضَحْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فَقَامَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَصَفَفْتُ أَنَا وَالْيَتِيمُ وَرَاءَهُ وَالْعَجُوزُ مِنْ وَرَائِنَا «فَصَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ»

✧ His grandmother Mulaykah invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a meal she had prepared, and he ate from it. Then he said: "Stand up, so I may lead you in prayer." Anas said: I went to a mat of mine that had turned black from long use, sprinkled it with water, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood on it. I and the orphan lined up behind him, and the old woman behind us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in two rak'ahs, then left.
