✧ The obligation of Imam's observance

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ فَمَا أُمِرْتُمْ فَأَتَوْا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَمَا نَهَيْتُ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا»

✧ Leave me with what I have left you. Those before you were destroyed only by their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. Whatever I command you to do, do as much of it as you can, and whatever I forbid you, abstain from it.
