أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ»

Translation

✧ «The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to turn to his right, saying: “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah,” until the whiteness of his cheek appeared, and to his left likewise.»
