أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الشَّحَّامُ بِالرِّيِّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ وَارَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى آلِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهَا ذُو قَرَابَتِهَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ ذُو جُمَّةٍ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ لِيَسْجُدَ نَفَخَ فَقَالَتْ لَا تَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِغُلَامٍ لَنَا أَسْوَدَ «يَا رَبَاحُ تَرِّبْ وَجْهَكَ»

✧ I was with Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, when a young boy relative of hers with long hair came to her and stood to pray. When he went to prostrate, he blew on the ground. She said: 'Do not do that, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say to a black slave boy of ours: "O Rabah, put your face on the dust." '
