أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ

أَنَّ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَخَفَّفَهُمَا فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ أَرَاكَ قَدْ خَفَّفْتَهُمَا قَالَ إِنِّي بَادَرْتُ بِهِمَا الْوَسْوَاسَ وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لِيُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ وَلَعَلَّهُ لَا يَكُونُ لَهُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا عُشْرُهَا أَوْ تُسْعُهَا أَوْ ثُمُنُهَا أَوْ سُبُعُهَا أَوْ سُدْسُهَا» حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى الْعَدَدِ

✧ Ammar b. Yasir prayed two rak'ahs and made them light. Abd al-Rahman b. al-Harith said to him: "O Abu al-Yaqzan, I see that you have made them light." He said: "I hastened through them to avoid distracting thoughts. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'A man may pray a prayer and perhaps he gets only a tenth of it, or a ninth, or an eighth, or a seventh, or a sixth'" until he counted all the fractions.
