✧ A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, there are some matters I want to ask you about." He said: "Sit down." Then a man from Thaqif came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, there are some matters I want to ask you about." The Prophet ﷺ said: "The Ansari has preceded you." The Ansari said: "He is a stranger, and a stranger has a right, so begin with him." So he turned to the Thaqafi and said: "If you wish, I will answer you about what you were going to ask, and if you wish, you ask me and I will tell you." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, rather answer me about what I was going to ask you." He said: "You came to ask me about bowing, prostration, prayer, and fasting." He said: "No, by the One who sent you with the truth, you did not miss anything that was in my mind." He said: "When you bow, place your palms on your knees, then spread your fingers apart, then remain until every limb takes its position. When you prostrate, place your forehead firmly on the ground and do not peck quickly. Pray at the beginning of the day and at its end." He said: "O Prophet of Allah, what if I pray between them?" He said: "Then you will be one who prays. Fast from every month the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth." Then the Thaqafi stood up. Then he turned to the Ansari and said: "If you wish, I will tell you about what you came to ask, and if you wish, you ask me and I will tell you." He said: "No, O Prophet of Allah."
