✧ Description of Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نُؤَخِّرَ سُحُورَنَا وَنُعَجِّلَ فِطْرَنَا وَأَنْ نُمْسِكَ بِأَيْمَانِنَا عَلَى شَمَائِلِنَا فِي صَلَاتِنَا»

Translation

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, we, the prophets, were commanded to delay our suhur (pre-dawn meal), hasten our iftar (breaking of the fast), and hold our right hand upon the left hand during our prayers."
