أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ «عَجِبْتُ مِنْ شَيْخٍ صَلَّى بِنَا الظُّهْرَ فَكَبَّرَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً؟ قَالَ تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

Translation

✧ I said to Ibn ʿAbbas: “I am amazed at a shaykh who led us in the noon prayer and said twenty-two takbirs.” He said: “That is the Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim ﷺ.”
