✧ I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the ḥarrah of Madinah, and Uḥud faced us. He said, "O Abū Dharr, it would not please me for Uḥud to be mine as gold, and evening comes upon me while I have a dinar of it except that I spend it toward a debt." Then he walked on and I walked with him, and he said, "O Abū Dharr." I said, "At your service, O Messenger of Allah, and at your call." He said, "Those with the most are the ones with the least on the Day of Resurrection." Then he said, "O Abū Dharr, do not leave until I come to you." Then he went off until he was hidden, and I heard a voice. I said, "I will go." Then I remembered the Prophet's ﷺ words to me, so I remained until he came. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I heard a voice and wanted to catch up with you, but I remembered your words to me." He said, "That was Jibrīl. He came to me and informed me that whoever of my community dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?" He said, "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals."
