✧ The Obligation of Faith

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«الْإِيمَانُ بِضْعٌ وَسِتُّونَ شُعْبَةً أَوْ بِضْعٌ وَسَبْعُونَ شُعْبَةً فَأَرْفَعُهَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَدْنَاهَا إِمَاطَةُ الْأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ وَالْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ»

✧ Faith has seventy-some branches, or sixty-some branches: the highest of them is the declaration that there is no god but Allah, and the lowest of them is removing harm from the road, and modesty is a branch of faith.
