أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ جَنَازَةً بِالْأَوْسَاطِ فِي دَارِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ فَأَقْبَلَ مَاشِيًا إِلَى بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ بِفِنَاءِ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَيْنَ تَؤُمُّ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ؟ قَالَ أَؤُمُّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ فِي بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِيهِ كَانَ كَعَدْلِ عَمْرَةٍ»

✧ He witnessed a funeral at al-Awsat in the house of Sa'd b. 'Ubadah, then he set out walking to Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf at the courtyard of Banu al-Harith b. al-Khazraj. It was said to him, 'Where are you heading, O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman?' He said, 'I am heading to this mosque in Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever prays in it is like the reward of an 'Umrah."'
