✧ We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and some of the people said, “Would you stop for us to rest, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “I fear that you will sleep through the prayer.” Bilal said, “I will wake you.” He leaned on his mount, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up when the sun’s edge had risen. He said, “O Bilal, where is what you said?” Bilal said, “A sleep was cast upon me the like of which I have never slept.” He said, “Stand and call the people to prayer.” When the sun rose and became bright, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and led them in prayer.
