✧ Safwan b. al-Mu'attal asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying: O Prophet of Allah, I ask you about something of which you are knowledgeable and I am ignorant. He said: "What is it?" He said: Is there any time among the hours of night and day in which prayer is disliked? He said: "Yes. When you have prayed the morning prayer, then refrain from praying until the sun rises above the horn of Satan. Then pray, and prayer is witnessed and accepted until the sun is above your head like a spear. When it is above your head like a spear, then refrain from praying, for that is the hour in which Hell is kindled and its corners are covered until it declines. When it declines, then prayer is witnessed and accepted until you pray 'Asr. Then refrain from praying until the sun sets."
