أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ
أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ هَلْ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَاتَمٌ؟ فَقَالَ أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلُّوا وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ» قَالَ أَنَسٌ «فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَالَ وَرَفَعَ أَنَسٌ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى»

✧ They said to Anas b. Malik, ‘Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have a ring?’ He said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the Isha prayer one night until half the night had passed. Then he came and said, “The people have prayed, and you will continue to be in prayer as long as you are waiting for the prayer.”’ Anas said, ‘It is as if I can see the glint of his silver ring.’ He said, and Anas raised his left hand.
