✧ We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and at the end of the night we stopped for rest, and our eyes overpowered us, and nothing woke us except the heat of the sun. A man would rise to his ablution in confusion, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to perform ablution. Then he ordered Bilāl, who called the adhān, and they prayed the two rakʿahs of dawn; then he ordered him, and he called the iqāmah, and he prayed fajr. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, we were negligent; should we not repeat it at its time tomorrow?” He said: “Would your Lord forbid you from usury and accept it from you? Negligence is only in wakefulness.”
