أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَنَجِدُ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا شَيْئًا لَأَنْ يَكُونَ أَحَدُنَا حُمَمَةً أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ قَالَ «ذَاكَ مَحْضُ الْإِيمَانِ»
