✧ Ibn ʿUmar was informed of his wife's illness during travel, so he delayed maghrib, and it was said: “The prayer!” but he remained silent and delayed it until after the twilight had disappeared, until a portion of the night had passed. Then he dismounted and prayed maghrib and ʿishāʾ, and then said: “This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do when travel pressed him or a matter distressed him.”
