أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ

كَانَ أَبُو مُوسَى يُشَدِّدُ فِي الْبَوْلِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَ جِلْدَ أَحَدِهِمْ بَوْلٌ قَرَضَهُ بِالْمِقْرَاضِ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ «لَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ لَا يُشَدِّدُ هَذَا التَّشْدِيدَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَتَمَاشَى فَأَتَى سُبَاطَةَ قَوْمٍ خَلْفَ حَائِطٍ فَقَامَ كَمَا يَقُومُ أَحَدُكُمْ فَبَالَ قَالَ فَاسْتَتَرْتُ مِنْهُ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ عِنْدَ عَقِبِهِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ»

✧ Abu Musa was strict about urine and said, "When urine touched the skin of any of the Children of Israel, they would cut it off with scissors." Hudhayfah said, "I wish your companion would not be so strict. I saw myself walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he came to a people's rubbish dump behind a wall and stood as one of you would stand and urinated. I hid from him, but he gestured to me, so I came and stood at his heels until he finished."
