أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ بِالْأُبُلَّةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ وَفْدَ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاجْتَوَوَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَبَعَثَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي لِقَاحِهِ فَقَالَ «اشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا» فَشَرِبُوا حَتَّى صَحُّوا وَسَمِنُوا فَقَتَلُوا رَاعِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَاسْتَاقُوا الذَّوْدَ وَارْتَدُّوا «فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي آثَارِهِمْ فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي الرَّمْضَاءِ»

✧ The delegation from 'Urayna came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found the climate of Madinah unsuitable. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent them to his milch camels and said, "Drink from their milk and urine." They drank until they were cured and gained weight. Then they killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, drove off the herd, and apostatized. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent in their pursuit, and they were brought back. He cut off their hands and feet, branded their eyes, and left them in the hot sun.
