Sahih Ibn Hibban 1312

Translation

✧ Some sheep from the zakāt gathered with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, “Go out, O Abū Dharr.” I went out with them to al-Rabadha. Five or six days would pass over me while I was junub, and I found unease in myself. I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was leaning his back against the room. When he saw me, he said, “What is wrong with you, O Abū Dharr?” I sat down. He said, “What is wrong with you, O Abū Dharr? May your mother be bereaved of you.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, I am junub.” He commanded a black slave girl, and she came with a vessel containing water. I screened myself with the camel and a cloth and washed. It was as if a mountain had been lifted from me. He said, “Come close. Clean earth is the ablution of a Muslim, even if for ten years. When he finds water, let him apply water to his skin.”
