✧ I brought the Messenger of Allah ﷺ water for his ghusl from janābah. She said: He washed his hands twice or three times, then inserted his right hand into the vessel and poured with it over his private part, washing it with his left hand. Then he struck his left hand on the ground and rubbed it vigorously. Then he performed wuḍūʾ as for prayer, then poured over his head three handfuls, filling both hands. Then he moved away from that spot and washed his feet. Then I brought him a cloth, but he returned it.

machine translationAl-Aʿmash narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Muʿāwiyah, Wakīʿ, Ḥafṣ, ʿĪsā b. Yūnus, al-Thawrī, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and Muḥāḍir narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Maymūnah. Abū Wakīʿ narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Maymūnah, and he omitted Ibn ʿAbbās from it. The first is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
