أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَاءَ فَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ وَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَنِيَّ فَاغْتَسِلْ»

✧ I was a man who emitted madhy frequently, so I asked the Prophet ﷺ. He said, “When you see water (madhy), wash your penis and perform ablution; and when you see mani, perform ritual bathing.”
