حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ مَرْوَانُ مَعَ طَلْحَةَ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا اشْتَبَكَتِ الْحَرْبُ قَالَ مَرْوَانُ: لَا أَطْلُبُ بِثَأْرِي بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَمَاهُ بِسَهْمٍ فَأَصَابَ رُكْبَتَهُ، فَمَا رَقَأَ الدَّمُ حَتَّى مَاتَ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ طَلْحَةُ: دَعُوهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ سَهْمٌ أَرْسَلَهُ اللهُ
