حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِطَاوُسٍ: عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْمَهْدِيُّ ؟ قَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ مَهْدِيًّا، وَلَيْسَ بِهِ، إِنَّ الْمَهْدِيَّ إِذَا كَانَ: زِيدَ الْمُحْسِنُ فِي إِحْسَانِهِ، وَتِيبَ عَنِ الْمُسِيءِ مِنْ إِسَاءَتِهِ، وَهُوَ يَبْذُلُ الْمَالَ، وَيَشْتَدُّ عَلَى الْعُمَّالِ، وَيَرْحَمُ الْمَسَاكِينَ

When the Mahdī comes, the doer of good will be increased in his good, and the wrongdoer will be pardoned for his wrongdoing. He will give out wealth freely, be severe upon the governors, and show mercy to the poor."
