A man will be given the pledge of allegiance between the Corner and the Station [of Ibrahim], with a number [1] equal to the people of Badr. Then the factions of Iraq and the substitutes (abdāl) of Syria will come to him. Then an army from the people of Syria will march against them, until when they are at al-Baydāʾ they will be swallowed by the earth. Then a man from Quraysh, whose maternal uncles are from Kalb, will march against them, and they will meet, and God will defeat them. It used to be said: The disappointed one is he who is disappointed of the spoils of Kalb.
