Machine translation, not reviewed

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after he had finished with the people of Badr, with a foal of a mare of mine called al-Qarḥāʾ. I said: "O Muhammad, I have brought you the son of al-Qarḥāʾ for you to take." He said: "I have no need of it, but if you wish, I will exchange [1] for it the choice one of the coats of mail of Badr." I said: "I would not exchange [2] it with you today for a blaze-faced horse. I have no need of it." Then he said: "O Dhū al-Jawshan, will you not accept Islam, so that you are among the first of this matter?" I said: "No." He said: "Why?" I said: "I have seen that your people are infatuated with you." He said: "And what of what has reached you about their places of death?" I said: "It has reached me." He said: "Then how will you be guided?" I said: "If you overcome the Kaaba and settle in it." He said: "Perhaps, if you live, you will see that." Then he said: "O Bilāl, take the man's saddlebag and provision him with ʿajwah dates." When I turned away, he said: "Indeed, he is the best of the horsemen of Banū ʿĀmir." He said: By Allah, I was with my family at al-ʿAwdhāʾ when a rider came. I said: "Where are you from?" He said: "From Mecca." I said: "What have the people done?" He said: "By Allah, Muhammad has overcome it and settled in it." I said: "May my mother be bereaved of me! If only I had accepted Islam that day, then asked him for al-Ḥīrah, he would have granted it to me." He said: "By Allah, I will never drink from a jug for the rest of time, and no pack horse will ever pass wind beneath me for the rest of time."
