حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ مِنَ الطُّلَقَاءِ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ وَوَضَعَ رِدَاءَهُ عَلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ تَنَحَّى لِيَقْضِيَ الْحَاجَةَ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَرَقَ رِدَاءَهُ، فَأَخَذَهُ فَأَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ أَنْ تُقْطَعَ يَدُهُ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، تَقْطَعُهُ فِي رِدَاءٍ ؟ أَنَا أَهَبُهُ لَهُ ! قَالَ: فَهَلَّا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ !
