The Fire complained to its Lord and said: "My Lord, parts of me have eaten other parts." So He permitted it two breaths: a breath in the summer and a breath in the winter. The intense cold that you feel is from its zamharīr (bitter cold), and the intense heat that you feel in the summer is from its samūm (scorching wind)."
