Machine translation, not reviewed

A man from the people of al-Yamāmah bequeathed a horse for the cause of God. A cousin of mine came, and I said: "I will give it to my brother to ride, for my brother is a righteous man." He said: "Not until I ask al-Ḥasan." So he asked al-Ḥasan, who said: "Give it to a man to ride, and do not show favoritism to anyone in it." He said: I said to al-Ḥasan: "And if he needs it?" He said: "Then let him sell it [2] to the soldiers, and do not give it to these freedmen, for one of them would leave it as provision for his family."
