When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to set out on a journey, he would say: "O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor (caretaker) over the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel (ḍubnah), and from a sorrowful return. O Allah, fold the earth up for us and make the journey easy for us."
