Machine translation, not reviewed
A woman came to Ibn ʿAbbās – and I had sworn not to ask about nabīdh made in a jar – and she said to me: "Ask him." But I refused to ask him. Then a man asked him about nabīdh made in a jar, and he forbade it. So I said: "O Abū ʿAbbās, I prepare nabīdh in a green jar and drink it sweet and good, and my stomach rumbles." He said: "Do not drink it, even if it is sweeter than honey."
