أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَهْلٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْبَزَّازُ ثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ

عُدْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا مَوْعُوكًا فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ تَالَلَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ رَجُلًا أَشَدَّ حَرًّا مِنْهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَشَدَّ حَرًّا مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هَاذَيْنَكَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ الرَّاكِبَيْنِ الْمُقَفِّيَيْنِ» لِرَجُلَيْنِ حِينَئِذٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ

✧ We visited a man who was feverish with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I placed my hand on him and said, "By Allah, I have never seen a man with more intense heat than him today." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you of one with more intense heat than him on the Day of Resurrection? Those two men riding and turning their backs"—referring to two men among his companions at that time.
