✧ Has the redness risen yet? When he saw it, he said, "No welcome." Then he said, "Two angels, Harut and Marut, asked Allah Almighty to descend to earth, and they were sent down to earth. They used to judge between people. When evening came, they would say some words and ascend with them to heaven. A woman of the fairest among people was sent to them, and desire was cast upon them. They kept putting her off, but it was cast into their hearts. They continued doing so until she promised them an appointment. She came to them at the appointment and said, 'Teach me the word by which you ascend.' They taught her the word, and she spoke it and ascended with it to heaven. She was transformed and made as you see. When evening came to them, they spoke the word by which they used to ascend to heaven, but they did not ascend. It was sent to them: 'If you wish, the punishment of the Hereafter; and if you wish, the punishment of this world until the Hour arises, on condition that you meet Allah Almighty; then if He wills, He will punish you, and if He wills, He will have mercy on you.' One of them looked at his companion, and one of them said to his companion, 'Rather, we choose the punishment of this world a thousand thousand times over.' So they are being punished until the Hour arises."
