وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ هَذَا مَا سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ بِشَهْرٍ «يَسْأَلُونَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ وَإِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ نَفْسٌ مَنْفُوسَةٌ الْيَوْمَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْهَا مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ» وَ

✧ He informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say about a month before his death: 'They ask about the Hour, but its knowledge is only with Allah. I swear by Allah, there is no soul born on the earth today that will reach a hundred years.'

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ الْمَفْهُومِ الْمَعْقُولِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ مَوْلُودٌ قَدْ وُلِدَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ مِائَةُ عَامٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي خَاطَبَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِهَذَا الْخَطَّابِ لَا أَنَّ مَنْ يُولَدُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْعَامَ لَا يَعِيشُ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَغْلَظَ فِيهِ الْقَوْلَ لِأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا بَلْ مِنْ كِبَارِ الصَّحَابَةِ صحيح
